The Big Chase !!

(Chennai Super Kings v/s Kolkata Knight Riders)

I always wonder how the West Indian players score that big. It was the second match for both CSK and KKR on 10 April. Both the teams were in a good form. CSK won the toss and as I had expected they chose to field first.

CSK fielded really well, Suresh Raina’s direct hit and Bravo’s diving catch were amazing. Watson picked up 4 wickets. There was a quick loss of wickets in the first 12 overs. I thought it would be an easy chase of 150 or 165 for CSK.  The turning point of the match was when the big man Andre Russel came in. OMG!!! he hit 11 sixes and one among them went out of the stadium. The final score was 202 after 20 overs. This is why I always wonder how the West Indian players score that big.

It was a big challenge for CSK. CSK‘s openers stared well with clean and big shots. After Raina’s wicket the runs slowed down. But not for long, Sam Billings started up again. His 50 was a great contribution to the team. Then MSD got out. I would like to explain about the last over as it was a feast for any cricket lovers. It was bowled by Vinay Kumar. Bravo and Jadeja were playing. Bravo is a true champion and another man who always makes me wonder how the West Indian players score that big. Jedeja is a good batsman who plays clean shots. They needed 17. The first ball was hit 6 and it was a no ball too. Pressure was more on both sides. They ran 2 runs. It was a nail biting moment for me. Then came a single. Jadeja was on strike when they needed 4 runs from 3 balls. That was a dot ball. Then win came for CSK by Jadeja’s maximum. Still one ball was remaining.
There were 2  different heroes from 2 different team in single match Andre Russel and Sam Billings! This match would not ve been so much interesting without Russel. It was one of the most entertaining matches. Billings was awarded with Man of the match for his 56 runs from 23 balls.
